Club target shooting

Shooting enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that clay target, pistol and deerstalker rifle ranges are now open for use at the TECT All Terrain Park for club members:

Please see the User groups Page to enquire about club membership and their facilities.  There will be no target shooting in the Park outside of these ranges, and absolutely no hunting of any kind permitted within the park boundaries.  There are no public toilets at this area, toilets are located at the Arrival Centre for your convenience.  

Arms Code

If you are interested in shooting, join one of the local clubs and learn about hunting and firearms courses.  Please note: All shooters must adhere at all times to The New Zealand Police Arms Code 2010.

The Arms Code is a firearms safety manual compiled by the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council and the New Zealand Police.  You can download a PDF version of the Arms Code.

The Park main gate is closed at night and opened in daylight hours only.  Summer hours are from 7am to 9pm, including Labour Weekend to Easter.  Winter hours are from 8am to 5pm.
