What you can do
Getting the TECT All Terrain Park up and running is all down to people power and a willingness to get involved. A huge and heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who have already helped build the TECT All Terrain Park.
Thousands of hours of work have gone into this amazing community venture so far. Park staff are involved in developing several volunteer programmes including:
If you’re enthusiast, energetic and motivated and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, you might consider becoming a volunteer. You may also wish to join a community group, club or school that wants to get in and help.
The progress of the TECT All Terrain Park is reliant on the community and potential user groups to muck in and make their mark on the land.
Julia Wagner is the latest volunteer international intern to gain park management experience at the TECT All Terrain Park. Read about her story in Issue 13 of the Terrain News.
While it’s now possible to be able to go and play in the park, there is still a lot of work to be done.
If you’re keen to register yourself, community group, business, club or school for volunteer work in the park, please contact the TECT All Terrain Park, on email email@example.com or telephone +64 (0)7 571 8008.
For more information on how to develop your community group or club please see the Our Supporters page. We have articles made available free of charge by volunteer support agency exult.
The Park is now operating under Winter Hours 8am - 5pm
Please note that the Park is relatively remote and the ranger is not always available to help, so plan your trip accordingly. Gates locked at night. No hunting allowed, anywhere, any time.
